Day 2 of WIAA state wrestling tournament sets up Saturday's finals

MADISON (WKOW) -- Day two of the WIAA wrestling tournament at the Kohl Center had high school wrestlers vying for a spot in Saturday's finals. It was a successful night for Division-1 defending champion Jared Scharenbrock of Sun Prairie. At 152 pounds, Scharenbrock defeated Middleton's Shay Haase on a tech fall in 4:32, winning his 96th straight match and once again putting himself in the finals.

Lancaster junior Cole Martin was one of four Flying Arrows to advance to Saturday. At 132 pounds in Division-3, Martin won on an 8-2 decision, defeating Cole Large of Ozaukee.

The Walk of Champions begins at the Kohl Center at 6 pm Saturday. For full results click on the link
