RACINE (WKOW) -- A man wanted for possible kidnapping in Illinois has been arrested by Racine police.

Police in Highland Park, IL contacted the Racine Police Department Sunday regarding a kidnapping investigation.  They say a 30-year-old woman was taken against her will by her ex-boyfriend.

Although there were no ties to the Racine area, the two were believed to be there.  Officers were able to locate the two at the top of a parking ramp around 6:00 Sunday evening.

The suspect resisted and was subdued with the help of a police dog.  The victim was unharmed.

The suspect suffered a dog bite, was treated and taken to jail.  He faces a warrant in Illinois for kidnapping, unlawful restraint and criminal damage to property.
