Polk Co. father sentenced to prison for death of his young son

Polk Co. (WQOW) - A western Wisconsin father is going to prison for the death of his son.

Kenneth Larson was sentenced Monday for reckless homicide. He was given 10 years in prison. Larson, from Balsam Lake, was sentenced in 2008 for causing severe head trauma to his one-month-old son.

The boy lived for four years, before dying in 2011. That led to the homicide charge. At the time the boy was hurt, Larson told investigators he may have rolled onto the baby in bed, and that later the infant fell out of bed. Doctors said the injuries were not consistent with those explanations.
