Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- Shortly before 2:30 Tuesday morning, a UW-Madison Police officer was waved down by a motorist.  The person wanted to notify the officer of an apparent hit and run crash.

The officer went to the scene, which was said to be at the intersection of Fish Hatchery Road and South Park Street.  Upon arriving, the officer found a vehicle had struck a light pole.  The vehicle sustained heavy damage, and the driver was no where to be found.

A description of the driver was obtained and another UWPD officer was able to locate him walking along Brooks Street.  The driver, 44-year-old Sean Lee, was arrested for OWI-3rd and failure to notify police of an accident.
