Sheboygan Co. woman charged with felony animal abandonment

Posted: Updated:
CASCADE (WKOW) -- A Sheboygan County woman is charged with leaving her dog to die in her foreclosed home.

An employee with a mortgage company was checking the Cascade home and found the 8-year-old beagle-mix frozen on a pet bed.  The utilities had been turned off and a pipe had burst, causing extensive water damage.

Kimberly Fidlin's dog had been neglected for months, according to veterinarians who examined the animal.

Fidlin is charged with felony animal abandonment and five misdemeanors.  Fidlin last visited the home a month ago and found the dog had passed.
