GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- The Packers and cornerback Sam Shields agreed to a new contract according to the Twitter account of Shields' agent Drew Rosenhaus. Reports say it's a 4-year contract worth $39 millions dollars.
Shields (@ShieldSam37) tweeted on Saturday evening Sooooooo "happy to be back with my family #GoPack!!!!!! #turnup."
Shields was considered by many as the Packers top priority in free agency. The team elected not to use the franchise tag on the four-year pro, as the deadline passed March 3.
