Barron Co. (WQOW) - Three people charged in the murder of a rural Barron man have been ordered to stand trial.

The three were in court Monday on charges of planning the murder of Daniel Raven. He was shot to death in his home two weeks ago.

Investigators say Raven was shot through a window as he sat in his home . Raven's ex-wife is accused of planning the murder and agreeing to pay one of the suspects to help carry it out. All three will return to court late next month.

Barron Co. (WQOW) - Investigators say one of the suspects in a Barron County murder told them they had tried to kill the victim on six other occasions.

Daniel Raven was shot and killed one week ago in his rural Barron home.

Today, murder charges were filed against his ex-wife, her new boyfriend, and another man. Detectives say Trista Hrabak's boyfriend, Ian Skjerly, told them Hrabak had been mad over child support disputes with Raven.

Skjerly and Robert McBain allegedly went to Raven's home six times since November in attempts to kill Raven. On one of those occasions, Skjerly's rifle allegedly jammed.  On the night of the murder, Raven was shot twice with a deer rifle through a window as he sat on a couch watching TV. A search of phone records shows Skjerly and Hrabak exchanged text messages, planning the murder. McBain was allegedly paid $300 and was to receive another $500 once the shooting took place.

Bond was set at a quarter million dollars for each suspect.  They are due back in court next Monday.

Barron Co. (WQOW) -  A death investigators were calling suspicious has now been labeled a murder.

The Barron County Sheriff identified the victim today.

33-year-old Daniel Raven was found dead in his Barron home.   The sheriff says he believes Raven died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Raven's body was found early yesterday morning at his home on ten and a half street in the town of Clinton.  That's outside of Barron.  No one has been arrested.

"The hardest part about this case is the unknown," said Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald. "I've gotten some calls from the general public, asking if they're safe, that is a legitimate concern, we don't have a lot of these cases. Our last homicide in the area was over five years ago, but it's not CSI, we don't have a crime lab in the back of our building here where we can develop fingerprints instantly like on TV, it takes time."

The sheriff believes this was an isolated incident and does not believe the public is in danger.
