Teen faces charges after tossing baby

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- A 16-year old Madison boy is taken to the Juvenile Reception Center after tossing a baby in it's car seat.

Police say the 16-year old is the baby's father, and tossed the child toward the 15-year old mother after an argument Friday night.

The baby was in a car seat but not buckled it when it was tossed. When the car seat dropped, it hit a concrete step, and tipped over, spilling the baby onto an apartment buildings front step.

The baby was not injured in the incident.

The father was taken to the Juvenile Reception Center on a tentative charge of 2nd degree reckless endangerment.
