Attackers leave Forest Co. man for dead in woods

Posted: Updated:
FOREST CO. (WKOW) -- Six people were charged Wednesday in connection to a brutal beating in Forest County.

Court Documents say Justin Bey, Samantha McClellan, April Jones and Raymond Jones left a Crandon man for dead in the woods. The charges for the four suspects include first degree attempted homicide. Two juveniles also face charges.

A criminal complaint filed yesterday says the suspects left the 40-year-old man  beaten in the woods and hoped wolves would attack him. Investigators say they attacked the man because they believed he inappropriately touched a child.

Two ATV riders found the man after he spent almost two days in the woods. He was taken to Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield to treat his injuries.
