Wisconsin hockey plays Penn State in Big Ten semifinals

SAINT PAUL, Minn. -- Seeded-second for this week's inaugural Big Ten Tournament, which takes place at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., the Badgers (22-10-2, 13-6-1-0 Big Ten) will take on sixth-seeded Penn State (8-25-2, 3-16-1-0 Big Ten), in Friday’s semifinal round. The Nittany Lions upset third-seeded Michigan with a 2-1 victory in double overtime to open the tournament on Thursday.
 
Wisconsin went 4-0-0 against Penn State during the regular-season, but the last was a 3-2 overtime victory on March 8 at Penn State.
