Group wants to bring PBR back to WI

Posted: Updated:
MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Pabst Brewing Company could be coming back home.

That's if a group of Milwaukee natives gets its way.

Pabst started in Milwaukee in 1844 and left in 1996.

Currently, it's headquarters is in Los Angeles, but now it's up for sale.

A group from Milwaukee called "Bring PBR Home" started a grassroots funding effort to do just that.

"People are very excited and I think when something like this takes off it becomes a movement and it's got momentum. I believe that it can happen," says Susie Seidelman, co-founder of the group.

She wants residents to have local ownership of the company, similar to the way people own the Green Bay Packers.
