CONSUMER RECALL: "My Sweet Love" doll recalled due to potential burn concerns

Posted: Updated:
WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- Walmart is recalling 174,000 dolls due to the potential to overheat and burn consumers.

Tuesday, the U.S. Consumer Product  Safety Commission stated the "My Sweet Love / My Sweet Baby Cuddle Care Baby Doll" contains a circuit board which could potentially overheat, causing the chest area of the doll to heat up and possibly burn someone.  The electric doll is made by Tak Ngai Electronic Toys Co. of China and was sold exclusively at Walmart stores from 2012 through 2014 for $20.

Walmart has received 12 complaints, including two burns or blisters to the thumb.

Consumers are urged to stop using the product, remove all batteries and return the doll to any Walmart for a refund.
