Madison police looking for a suspicious man following young girls

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison Police are looking for a suspicious man who reportedly followed two young girls Tuesday night.

According to the police report, two girls, ages 8 and 13, were followed by a stranger as the walked on Topaz Lane around 7 p.m. Tuesday. The girls told police the man was waving a hand in the air and shouting something they did not understand. The girls went to the home of the trusted adult.

The suspect is described as a white man,about 5'7" to 6'0", with a thin build, dark hair, and a small scar under his left eye. He was last seen wearing a hoodie, blue jeans, and black shoes. One of the girls thought the man may have been intoxicated at the time they saw him Tuesday.

The girls told police they thought they had seen the same man, on an earlier date, driving a maroon colored car.
