Subway murder suspect pleads guilty

Posted: Updated:
PORTAGE (WKOW) -- The teenager accused of killing a Subway restaurant co-worker in Portage has pleaded guilty.

Jordan M. Scott, 19, appeared in court Friday, pleading guilty to a charge of first degree intentional homicide, withdrawing a former plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.

Police say Scott shot David Johnson, 22, in the parking lot of Subway on September 5. A criminal complaint says Scott told authorities he was angry with Johnson and decided either Johnson or himself had to die. Portage police say the men had a heated workplace argument in the days before the killing.
