Eau Claire business owner reacts to Confluence Project votes

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Wednesday, we spent time downtown to gauge the reaction of community members and businesses following the votes. Greater Midwest Mercantile owner, David Madis, says he believes the project will give downtown business a boost.

"It's going to improve downtown, bring more businesses, more vacationers, tourists. Clean up downtown, use up some space that really right now is vacant just being ugly, taking up landscape," he said.

Madis said he is also excited about the new plans for the arts. He thinks it will be nice for artists to be able to get together somewhere and show their support for the arts and theater in Eau Claire.
