Jackson making name for himself at Wisconsin

Posted: Updated:
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Wisconsin point guard Traevon Jackson has one up on his famous father when it comes to accomplishments on the basketball court.
Jim Jackson was a two-time All-American at Ohio State, but never played in the Final Four.
He'll be watching Saturday night when Traevon guides the Badgers into a national semifinal against Kentucky.
Like other Badgers, the younger Jackson struggled during a midseason slump when Wisconsin went 1-5. Turnovers were up, and the shooting percentage was down.
He has played much better since then. The assist-to-turnover ratio has improved. Jackson is shooting 89 percent from the foul line in the tournament.
Assistant coach Gary Close says Jackson is a tireless worker who has created his own niche in the family by getting to the Final Four.
