Eau Claire City Council to see parking ramp options

Eau Claire (WQOW) - The nuts and bolts of a parking plan will be spelled out on Monday before the Eau Claire City Council.

The proposed North Barstow parking ramp would be built on the current site of the Post Office which is being relocated.  JAMF and RCU have been seeking a permanent parking solution for employees.  The facility would most likely be used during the day by their workers.  Parking for special events and Phoenix Park activities would then be available on nights and weekends.

A consultant has put together a preliminary design with two options.  Both options are four-level ramps with 520 parking spaces.  One has a larger footprint.  The price tag for that option could hit more than $10 million.

A presentation on the potential ramp will be made at Monday night's city council meeting.
