Madison (WQOW) -- For just the second time this spring, the Wisconsin football team was on the field at Camp Randall Stadium. The team held an open scrimmage on Saturday.
However, the weather might have been the only positive. The quarterback competition had been heating up, but it cooled quickly on Saturday. Head coach Gary Andersen said he was not only unimpressed -- but disappointed in the unit's progress.
"We have a long way to go in the throw game and that's disappointing. If we want to be a good team we have to figure that out. We'll be able to run the ball and it looks like the defense is coming around, but we've got to be able to throw it, catch it and make some plays. Without a throw game it will be a struggle to be good on offense," says head coach Gary Andersen.
