MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison Police are looking the suspects in a strong armed robbery at a Mobil gas station Saturday night.

According to the police report, the gas station employee said two men appeared to be working together to pull off the robbery. The employee told police one entered the Verona Road gas station first and engaged them in conversation. While that was going on, the second man grabbed five cartons of cigarettes and a bag of cash from behind the counter.

When the employee tried to chase after the robber, the man who had been distracting the clerk, threw boxes of candy at the victim.

Both men were seen getting into a maroon colored Pontiac.

One of the suspects is described as a white male in his early 20's, 5'10", 160 pounds, with a full beard. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket and a blue hat.
