Pierce Co. man flown to hospital after being trapped under vehicle


Pierce Co. (News Release) - On Monday, April 14, 2014, at approximately 1:37 p.m., the Pierce County Sheriff's Department was notified of a man trapped underneath a vehicle at W469 145th Ave., in the Town of Maiden Rock.

The victim, Merlyn A. Aude, 62, who resides at the above address, was working in his yard near his vehicle, when the vehicle rolled down into a ravine trapping him underneath it. Aude was flown from the scene by North Memorial Air Ambulance with undetermined injuries.

Assisting on scene were the Plum City Ambulance and Fire Department, Lund Fire Department, Ellsworth Medic Service and North Memorial Air Ambulance.

The accident is still under investigation by the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.
