Madison (WQOW) -- The Wisconsin football team wrapped up the spring portion of the season with the spring game Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium.
Players will now get a bit of a break before summer conditioning gets going in June, followed by the start of camp in August.
The Badgers have their biggest season opener in years, when Wisconsin will play LSU in Houston on August 30.
"All summer we're definitely going to be preparing," says Wisconsin junior fullback Derek Watt, "and it's definitely going to be a challenge going down to Reliant Stadium and taking on an SEC opponent right off the bat and we're going to be preparing."
"I call this one of these games growing up as a kid you always want to play these type of teams," says Wisconsin sophomore cornerback Sojourn Shelton, "the way we went out last season, SEC, it just gives us another chance to get back at it. Everybody wants to bring up the speed but we'll be ready."
