Man sentenced in fatal stabbing case

Posted:

Eau Claire (WQOW) - A man charged in the stabbing death of a teenager in Eau Claire has been sentenced.

Doua Vang pleaded guilty to aggravated battery.  Bobbie Vue died in October 2012 after being stabbed.

Vang's lawyers claimed it was a case of self-defense because Vue and four others allegedly brought weapons and crashed a party at Vang's apartment on Richard Drive.  Vang was given six months in jail, but may only serve one month if he does community service and follows other conditions set aside by the court.
