Woman hospitalized after crashing into barn

Eau Claire Co. (WQOW) - A car drifted off the road and struck the wall of a barn Tuesday morning but why it happened remains a mystery.

Eau Claire County deputies responded to the crashed Tuesday morning on County Highway D in the Town of Clear Creek, south of Eau Claire. The driver was a 34-year-old woman from Strum. She was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities say the crash is still under investigation.

Eau Claire Co. (News Release) - On Tuesday, April 15th at 9:10 A.M. the Eau Clare County Sheriff's Office was called to investigate a single vehicle crash with injuries on County Highway D between County Highway HH and Elm Road in the Township of Clear Creek. A vehicle driven by a 34-year-old Strum woman left the roadway, crossed a ditch and struck the wall of a barn. The woman was wearing her seatbelt and the vehicle airbag did deploy.

The woman was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Sheriff's Office was assisted by Township Fire and Eau Claire Fire Department medics. The crash remains under investigation.

Eau Claire Co. (WQOW) - A driver had to be taken to the hospital after her vehicle left the road and crashed into a barn in the Town of Clear Creek.

It happened just after 9 a.m. Tuesday morning. Authorities say a woman was driving a vehicle that left the road and crashed into a barn. The woman was the only one in the vehicle and was taken to a hospital with injuries.  Authorities say they're not sure what caused the woman to drive off the road. Crews have not released her name or age.
