Gov. Walker kicks off re-election bid with visit to Chippewa Falls

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Chippewa Falls was one of several Wisconsin cities to play host to the official start of Governor Walker's re-election campaign Tuesday.

Walker was joined by Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch at Tractor Central for the announcement.

"Last year alone we saw the largest private sector job growth we've seen since the 1990's. But you know what? We're definitely not done yet. That's why Rebecca and I are running again, because we've still got more work to do to make sure that we get a job for everybody in the state of Wisconsin," Walker said.

The governor also highlighted his tax cuts, which he says have totaled more than $2 billion. Democratic challenger Mary Burke says Governor Walker has failed the state. She points to the fact that Wisconsin is 35th in private sector job growth.
