Badger women's basketball signs Marble

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) - The Badger women's basketball team has signed a point guard with an impressive pedigree. Roichelle Marble has signed a National Letter of Intent. The 5'7" point guard becomes the third member of Bobbie Kelsey's incoming class.

"Roichelle is a nice addition to our program and especially at the point guard position. Her maturity, work ethic and competitiveness will take our play up tremendously. She knows the game and grew up watching her father and brother, Devyn, excel at the highest level on the men's side."

Marble's father and brother were both standouts at Iowa. Roy Marble left campus as the school's all-time leading scorer. Roichelle's brother, Roy Devyn, just concluded his career with the Hawkeyes. He was a All-Big Ten selection this past season.

Roichelle earned all-state honors from the Des Moines Register the past three years. The Des Moines native joins Cayla McMorris and Rosie Gambino in the Badgers' class of 2014.
