Young professionals join effort to support Alzheimer's Association

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- Two sides, one team. In its second year in Madison, Blondes vs. Brunettes is the only flag football game in Wisconsin that is volunteer-driven, bringing together young professionals to support the Alzheimer’s Association. Two participating teams are divided based on the age-old rivalry between blondes and brunettes.

Alzheimer’s disproportionately affects women in diagnosis and caregiver roles. An event created and played by women, Blondes vs. Brunettes sends a message of solidarity: We plan to meet this disease with energy and attitude. We are the generation that can provide both the fuel and spark in this fight.
