Windy weather creates busy day for fire crews

Eau Claire County (WQOW) - Windy weather creates busy day for firefighters. The Township Fire Department responded to a grass fire on South Lowes Creek Road Saturday.

Township fire says it was a controlled burn that rekindled. It burned about five acres, right up to the edge of the road. They say no one was injured and there weren't any buildings in danger. Crews were on scene for about an hour.

Township fire says because the weather is so windy, they aren't allowing burning right now. They also say even with the rain earlier this week conditions are still dry.
