PRAIRIE DU SAC (WKOW) -- Wollersheim Winery released its second batch of COQUARD Brandy Thursday morning at the Prairie du Sac winery.
The brandy's official release dates are Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Wollersheim encourages people to come any of the three days, since they made a larger batch this time after the first batch, released in April, 2013, sold out very quickly.
It's a 100% Wisconsin brandy, made with La Crosse and St. pepin grapes grown in the state. It's distilled in a large copper pot and aged for two years.
Wollersheim says law forbids them from shipping the brandy, so it must be purchased in person. There is a limit of two 375 ml bottles per household.
