Voltz makes Rimington Trophy watch list

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) - Badgers center Dan Voltz has been named to the preseason watch list for the Rimington Trophy. The award honors the top center in college football.

Voltz played in 11 games as a redshirt freshman in 2013. He started six times. The Barrington, Illinois native is expected to take over full-time starting duties in his sophomore season.

Voltz is the fourth Badgers center in the last six seasons to make the preseason watch list for the Rimington Trophy. The last Wisconsin center to win the ward was Al Johnson in 2002.
