Packers' McCarthy visits kids at American Family Children's Hospital

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- Kids at American Family Children's Hospital go quite a surprise Sunday when Packers head coach Mike McCarthy stopped in for a visit.

McCarthy went around to children's rooms introducing himself and getting to know some of his youngest fans. It's part of his annual McCarthy Golf Outing, which raises money for the hospital.

"It's about the children, I think that's the greatest gift that any parent is given," says McCarthy. "I've always felt a responsibility now that I'm in a position professionally to give back and help others so I think this is the least that I could do."

McCarthy's Golf Outing tees off Monday morning at the Legend of Bergamont Golf Course in Oregon. This is the fifth year of the event.

We'll have coverage Monday night on 27 News at 5 & 6.
