TROUTDALE, Ore. (AP) -- Police say a 15-year-old gunman at an Oregon high school had an assault rifle, handgun and several magazines of ammunition during the attack.

Police also said Wednesday that an autopsy determined that suspect Jared Michael Padgett died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the Tuesday attack.

They say no link has been found between the shooter and the student who was killed. No motive was released.

Police say the shooting occurred in a gym detached from the main school building, with 14-year-old Emilio Hoffman killed in the boys' locker room.

The weapons and ammunition was concealed in a guitar case and duffel bag when the shooter arrived at the campus.\

Police say a teenage gunman who killed a student at an Oregon high school and wounded a teacher was found dead in a school bathroom and likely killed himself.

Troutdale police said Tuesday they found the suspect slumped on a toilet in a bathroom but couldn't see what was happening with him.

Police spokesman Sgt. Carey Kaer said police used a robot with a camera to investigate and discovered the suspect was dead and that he likely killed himself at Reynolds High School in Troutsdale.

Kaer also said the shooter is a male teen.

Officials say a lone gunman armed with a rifle killed one student and injured a teacher at an Oregon school before the shooter was found dead.

Troutdale Police Chief Scott Anderson said Tuesday authorities have tentatively identified the gunman, but aren't ready at this point to release the name. They are in the process of notifying the family of the gunman and student who was killed.

Anderson said the teacher suffered non-life threatening injures and was treated at the scene.

During the evacuation, another unrelated gun was found and one person was taken into custody.

Police in Oregon say a gunman fatally shot a student at a high school near Portland.

Authorities said Tuesday the suspect also was dead and the situation is stabilized.

The Multnomah County sheriff's office said there were reports of shots fired about 8 a.m. at Reynolds High School in Troutdale.

Students say they were told over the intercom there was a lockdown and to quietly go to their classrooms. Students were evacuated from the school, hands on their heads, to be reunited with their parents in a supermarket parking lot.

Freshman Daniel DeLong, 15, said while waiting after the shooting that he saw a physical education teacher at the school with a bloodied shirt.

"I'm a little shaken up," DeLong said. "I'm just worried."

He said he was texting friends to make sure they were all OK.

"It just, like, happened so fast, you know?" he said.

Freshman Morgan Rose, 15, said she was hunkered down in a locker room with another student and two teachers.

"It was scary in the moment now knowing everything's OK I'm better," she said.

SWAT teams were going through the school room by room, KGW-TV reported. Police set up tape around the area and were not allowing people to pass through. Fire trucks were on the scene.

The shooting follows a spate of recent attacks at or near school campuses.

On June 5, a 19-year-old man was killed and two other people wounded when a gunman opened fire in a building at Seattle Pacific University.

Troutdale is a small city of about 15,000 near the Columbia River, about 16 miles east of downtown Portland.
