Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) – Police are looking for two suspects after they battered a man celebrating Father’s Day with his daughter early Sunday.

According to the City of Madison Police Department, a 51-year-old man from outside of Madison was with his adult daughter at the Red Rock Saloon, 322 W. Johnson St., and went to the bar to buy drinks at about 2:03 a.m. For an unknown reason, the first suspect pushed the victim into a crowd of people. Police say the victim was gesturing to the suspect in a non-threatening way when the second suspect, who was with the first suspect, blindside-punched the victim and knocked him unconscious. The second suspect then straddled the victim, repeatedly punching him in the face and head. The suspects then fled with a group of others.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with a suspected concussion, broken jaw, and other non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects are described as white men in their 20s. They were between 5’10” and 6’ and weigh 180 to 200 pounds.

Police ask that anyone with more information call Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.
