Jessepalooza Music-Fest slated for June 29th

Posted: Updated:

MIDDLETON (WKOW) – People who knew Jesse Alswager describe him as a gregarious teenager who simply rocked.

Alswager was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of three and later died from complications of the disease in 2010. He was only 13-years-old.

Despite his youth and diminutive frame, Alswager was a commanding and credible voice on behalf of other children who lived with diabetes.

“His work to raise money and awareness of diabetes is his legacy,” says his mother, Michelle Alswager.

Michelle is the lead organizer of Jessepalooza, a music festival that will bring together some of the area’s most popular rock bands to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Jessepalooza will be held Sunday, June 29 from 3:00p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at Capital Brewery in Middleton.
