Concerts return to the square

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) --  The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra kicks off this season of Concerts on the Square Wednesday.

It's the 31st season for the concert series.

The music begins at 7 p.m. at the corner of King Street and the Capitol Square.

WKOW is a proud sponsor of Concerts on the Square and Bob Lindmeier will be the officially meteorologist at the event.

The concerts will continue for years to come thanks to a new agreement.

The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and the American Federation of Musicians Local 116 announced Tuesday they have signed a new, five-year collective bargaining agreement.

The contract begins in September and allows its signature Concerts on the Square and Master Works Series to continue.

The orchestra also announced several new concerts it's added to this year's program.
