Eau Claire (WQOW) - Once again the Chippewa Valley is firing up some fantastic Fourth of July celebrations! Be a part of this festive event, activities include sporting events, music, & fireworks!

City of Eau Claire events

10:00 am - 4:30 pm Paul Bunyan Camp Open (Carson Park)

11:00 am - 4:00 pm An Old-Fashioned Family fourth of July (Chippewa Valley Museum)

11:30 am - 7:00 pm Fairfax Pool public swim (Fairfax Park)

12:00 pm - 5:00 pm Train Rides (Carson Park Depot)

4:00 pm - 9:00 pm WAXX Boom Box, Rock 'N Roll to Go & Festival Foods Cart (Pine Pavilion Event Area-Carson Park)

6:05 pm - Eau Claire Express vs. Mankato Moondogs (Carson Baseball Stadium)

10:00 pm - Festival Foods "FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA" (Sponsored by Festival Foods)

City of Altoona celebration

It's going to be BIG. The Altoona 4th of July celebration at Cinder City Park in Altoona promises a great event with a wide arrangement of activities to attract a broad spectrum of people with diverse interests. Planned activities include a car show, kids zone with bouncy houses, hot dog eating, cribbage tournament, and two bands--BIG Back Yard and BIG Deeks. Good food will be available for sale all day. The fireworks display will be huge.

Menomonie's 2014 FreedomFest

The day begins with a one Mile/5K Run/Walk sponsored by Mayo Clinic Health System. There is also a Vintage Baseball game from 11-12:30pm at the Wakanda Park ballpark. At noon enjoy children's inflatables, live music, Senior Bingo, food vendors, beer, soda and crafters. FreedomFest 2014 ends with a spectacular fireworks display at 10pm.

Mondovi Friendship Days

On Jun. 28 at 10:30am there will be a Civil War Statue dedication; charcoal chicken, hot dog and brat lunch at 11:30am, Grand Parade at 1pm (Eau Claire St. to Mill St. to the Fairgrounds) plus free kid games and an inflatable indoor shooting range after the parade. On Jun. 29 at Tourist Park there will be the Mondovi Area Historical Society's "Past in the Park" 11am-4pm and a community band concert at 2pm. On July 4 enjoy the EMS Friendship Days run at 8:30am and fireworks at dark.

Chetek Liberty Festival

Softball tournament, horseshoe pitching contest, parade noon, street dances, live bands, beach party 2 pm, waterski shows, art and craft fair, fireworks dusk.
