Menomonie man threatens landlord with gun over rent payments

Dunn County (WQOW)- A Menomonie man is in jail after threatening his landlord with a gun when she inquired about rent payments.

The Dunn County Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old Patrick Kirchoff was arrested Thursday. Deputies were called to a residence on 410th Avenue where the landlord said she'd arrived to speak with the tenants about rent payments. That's when the landlord says a Kirchoff pulled out a gun and began threatening her.

Deputies say Kirchoff was uncooperative and was arrested on suspicion of a number of charges including disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, possession of a facsimile firearm, possession of THC and resisting arrest.

On Today’s date at approximately 11:42 am the Dunn County 911 Center received a call reporting a male subject was armed with a handgun and was threatening another person and had the gun pointed at their head.

Deputies responded to an address on 410th Ave in Menomonie Township and made contact with the victim who was terrified.  The victim indicated she was the landlord of the residence and had arrived to speak with the tenants regarding rent payments when the male subject brandished a handgun and began threatening her.

Deputies of the Sheriff's Office contacted the suspect who was uncooperative and he was taken into custody under suspicion of disorderly conduct and domestic disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, possession of a facsimile firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of THC and resisting arrest.

The suspect is identified as 28 year old Patrick Kirchoff of rural Menomonie and is being held at the Dunn County Jail.
