UPDATE: Two-year-old girl who fell from window has non-life threatening injuries

UPDATE (WKOW) -- A two-year-old girl who was taken to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee Friday after falling from the second story window of an apartment complex has non-life threatening injuries

According to a news  release from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded at 6:18 p.m. Friday to an apartment complex at W1060 Marietta Ave. in the Town of Ixonia. When they arrived, it was learned that the girl was playing in a bedroom on the second story while her father cooked supper. She climbed up onto a small ledge to look out a screen window at her siblings playing in a paved driveway. The girl pushed the screen, which gave way, and she fell 21 feet, landing on the concrete driveway.

The incident remains under investigation.

TOWN OF IXONIA (WKOW) -- In Jefferson County authorities say a two-year-old girl is in the hospital after she fell out of a window in the Town of Ixonia.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office the girl fell from a second story window of an apartment complex. She landed onto the concrete below.

Our affiliate WISN reports that she was med-flighted to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee. No word yet on her condition.
