Badger football players participate in golf outing

Posted: Updated:
STOUGHTON (WKOW) -- Four Wisconsin football players took part in the Juvenile Diabetes Golf Outing Monday at Stoughton Country Club. Rob Havenstein, Jordan Fredrick, Joe Schobert and Derek Strauss were the Badger players in attendance for the 10th annual event. The players are currently participating in summer conditioning before they report to fall camp on August 3rd. Entering Gary Andersen's second season in Madison, the Badgers have big expectations for 2014.

"We expect to be better than we were last year and everyone wants to improve on what they put out last year," Havenstein said. "Obviously we lost some key guys but we have a bunch of young players who are out here now and they're busting their butts during summer conditioning. We're really looking forward to getting out there again."

The Badgers first game is August 30 vs. LSU in Houston.
