Stave Named to O'Brien Watch List

Madison (WQOW) -- Joel Stave has been tabbed as one of the top returning quarterbacks in the nation. The Badgers signal caller is one of 39 candidates named to the Davey O'Brien Award watch list.

The junior started 13 games last season. He threw for 2,494 yards and 22 touchdowns. However, he also notched 13 interceptions. Stave will be in a battle with Tanner McEvoy for the starting spot in fall camp.

The Davey O'Brien Award honors the top quarterback in college football.
