UPDATE: Authorities find body of missing Hudson man in Red Cedar River

St. Croix County (News Release) - The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office has been informed by the Menomonie Police Department that Joseph Albert Briske was found deceased in the Red Cedar River Thursday afternoon. The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office and the Menomonie Police Department will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Mr. Briske's disappearance and death.

The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Menomonie Police Department, Menomonie Fire Department, Dunn County Sheriff's Office and the Wisconsin DNR for their assistance in locating Mr. Briske.

St. Croix County (Press Release)
-- The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing person. The sheriff’s office is looking for Joseph Albert Briske, age 45 from the Hudson area. He left his residence in the early morning hours of Monday July 14, 2014 without any explanation. His car was located on I-94 east of Menomonie WI around 7:00am by the Wisconsin State Patrol. There has been no contact with Joseph since that time.

He is 5’9”, 185 lbs., brown hair and eyes, last seen wearing black sweat bottoms with a stripe down the side of the leg and a white t-shirt.

The Menomonie Police and Fire Departments, along with the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office has continued to search the surrounding land and water area since Monday July 14th, without locating Briske.
