UPDATE: Authorities identify Mondovi man killed in early morning motorcycle crash


Pepin County (News Release) - On July 22, at 6:15 a.m., the Pepin County Sheriff's Department received a report of a one vehicle motorcycle crash located on County Highway H near Albany N in Pepin County. Mondovi Ambulance, Pepin County Sheriff's Deputies and Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the crash scene.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 35-year-old Mondovi man, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pepin County Coroner. Authorities have identified him as Struther Otis Adams.

The crash scene investigation indicates that Adams failed to negotiated a curve and left the roadway going over a steep embankment, striking trees and a wood pile. Adams and his motorcycle were located approximately 25 feet off the roadway in a heavily wooded area. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
