UPDATE: Two injured in Town of Sun Prairie crash

TOWN OF SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- Dane County Sheriff's deputies along with Sun Prairie Fire, EMS and Deer Grove EMS were all called to a two vehicle crash near the intersection of Bailey and Burke Roads in the Town of Sun Prairie Wednesday morning. 

Kari Sporle (23), of Mineral Point, was traveling west on Burke Road when she failed to stop at a stop sign.  Her vehicle then struck the driver side of 31-year-old Ricardo Portillo's car.  Portillo's car then struck a house on Bailey Road, causing minor damage to that home. 

Sporle received minor injuries from air bag deployment and Portillo sustained serious injuries.  Both were taken to UW and St. Mary's. 

Sporle states she didn't see the stop sign as she's unfamiliar with the area.  She was cited for failure to follow stop sign.

TOWN OF SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- Dane County Communications tells 27 News a two vehicle accident happened shortly after 7:30 Wednesday morning in the Town of Sun Prairie.

The accident happened near the intersection of Burke Road and Bailey Road.  One of the vehicles did hit a house, but there's no word at this time as to how damaged the home is.

There are no serious injuries reported at this time.
