FOND DU LAC (WKOW) -- A 28-year-old woman called Fond du Lac police shortly after 4:00 Wednesday morning stating she was the victim of a domestic dispute.
The woman stated she and her 37-year-old husband had gotten into an argument at their home on 17th Street when he put a hand gun to her head and wouldn't let her go. She managed to leave and fled to a Walgreen's Store, where she contacted authorities, also alerting them to the couple's children still inside the home.
Police and the Fond du Lac SWAT team arrived at the residence and made contact with the woman's husband. After negotiating with him for a brief period, the man surrendered around 6:30 a.m. without incident. The children were found unharmed.
The incident remains under investigation and it's anticipated the suspect will face numerous felony charges.
