Walk to End Alzheimer’s gears up for September walk

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) – Event organizers are starting to prepare for the 2014 Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease.  The two mile walk starts at 10am Sunday, September 21 at Monona Terrace.

Registration begins at 8:30am and the walk starts at 10am.

All funds raised through Walk to End Alzheimer's further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.

If you plan on walking in the event you must sign a standard waiver and register for the event.  There is no registration fee for the walk.  However, organizers ask every walker to make a personal donation and commit to raising funds in the fight against Alzheimer’s.

WKOW is a proud sponsor of this event.  Wake Up Wisconsin Anchor Dani Maxwell will be the emcee for the event and is also sponsoring a team.
