Three taken to hospital after rollover crash

AUGUSTA (Press Release) - Friday night at approximately 10:40 p.m. the Eau Claire County Sheriff's Department, along with the Augusta-Bridge Creek Fire Department, was dispatched to the area of County Highway G and Kelly Road for a one-vehicle roll over crash.

Upon arrival, first responders located two adult female patients lying adjacent to the crashed vehicle, in the ditch, while a third adult female was located, trapped partially underneath the crashed vehicle. All three adult females were transported to area hospitals with what is believed to be serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

A preliminary investigation of the scene revealed that the crashed vehicle had been traveling eastbound on County Highway G prior to the crash. Approximately ¾ of a mile east of Kelly Road, on County Highway G, the vehicle failed to negotiate a corner in the roadway and rolled, coming to rest on its roof.

Based on evidence at the scene, witness statements and victim statements, it is believed that other vehicles and people may be involved in this incident. Based on the ongoing nature of the investigation, no further information is being released at this time.

The Eau Claire County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the City of Eau Claire Police Crash Reconstruction Team, the Augusta Police Department, the Augusta-Bridge Creek Volunteer Fire Department, Eau Claire Fire Department EMS, Mayo Helicopter and Osseo Ambulance Service.
