Bike ride to Lambeau Field to fight hunger

Wausau (WAOW) - A husband and wife,  one a Packers fan, the other a Vikings fan, are biking from the Twin Cities to Lambeau Field to help fight hunger.

Rick and Robin Martinek began the 316-mile ride on Monday.

Their fundraiser is called "7 days to Green Bay."

They want to raise awareness and money for two charities. Those are Paul's Pantry in Green Gay and Mom's and Neighbors in Minnesota--and have fun doing it.

"If Paul's Pantry wins then I have to wear a Green Bay Packers helmet, shoulder pads, jersey, pants ,and cleats," said Rick Martinek.

"If  Minnesota raises more more money then I have to wear a Vikings uniform to the game and I have no intention of doing that," said Robin Martinek.

They arrived in Rib Mountain Thursday afternoon .

They hope to reach Lambeau Field around noon Sunday.
