Eau Claire (WQOW) - Several Eau Claire Catholic Church choirs came together today to honor a beloved priest who passed away a year ago. The event was called "Saint Cecilia Sing".
130 singers made up the mass choir that performed at the Immaculate Conception church. An orchestra accompanied them as well. This was the second annual event in honor of Father Kilmek who was the Senior Priest Chaplain at Sacred Heart Hospital for many years.
"We're raising money for the Saint Francis Food Pantry which was one of Monsignor Klimek's favorite charities," says Colleen Garnevicus, the Music Director of Immaculate Conception.
An offering was taken during the event to be put toward the charity.
