The Centers for Disease Control confirms 15 children have died due to the flu including three in Minnesota. State health officials say while there are no reported deaths here, they urge caution to prevent the spread of the disease.
According to Becky Mroczenski from the Marathon County Health Department, "We know based on the number reporting and information that we have a high number of cases it has really increased in the last couple of weeks."
Doctors say the flu vaccine is still the best way to protect yourself. Other tips include washing your hands often, and staying home if you're sick.
