Kaitlyn joined News 18 in December 2014 as a multimedia journalist. After graduating with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014 with a degree is strategic communications and broadcast journalism, she spent her summer traveling the state as the Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs, also known as the official hostess of the Wisconsin State Fair.
On campus, she was actively involved in the Association of Women in Agriculture, Badger Dairy Club, and WSUM Madison Student Radio. Through WSUM, she founded the station's first agricultural talk show with fellow AWA members. Kaitlyn became interested in television news broadcasting after joining the Badger Report. Following a semester of reporting, producing and anchoring, she returned as the student news director.
Kaitlyn started her broadcast career in September 2014 in Prairie du Chien as WQPC-WPRE Radio's first Farm News Director. Growing up on a small dairy farm in Mount Zion, she has always had a strong passion for agricultural communications. Her parents still milk 70 registered Jersey cows, and Kaitlyn returns home to the farm whenever possible to visit family and spend time with her favorite animals.
