Gary Henkey, 73, died in June three days after he fell and hit his head while working at the Menards Warranty Center, off of North Crossing. The occupational safety and health administration cited Menards for failing to report the death and for an unrelated safety issue.
Menards originally contested the citations and fines, but OSHA said they have now settled the case.
Terms call for Menards to pay the full fine, which is nearly $10,000. The company also agreed to better train employees on OSHA death notification rules.
